1.
I A great seething tempest Of madness and rage Will fall hard upon you And burn in your veins Full moon howl rising Blood scent on thy lips Bestial hate building To the flock come to grips The wind whispers murder The stars glare deceit The lambs are for the taking The kill beckons sweet To rage ‘mongst these children Weak wills aflail To slake your endless hunger You must have these innocents II To feast on their lifeblood Claim their corpses for your own Beneath the shadowed canopy Of Luna’s glowing chill Mock their cries for mercy With the killing glare of fangs Break their bodies open To steam in night’s bleak winds Gorge upon their gushing blood Break apart their bones None will come to save them Their Shepherd turned and gone Give not the slightest quarter Unrestrained your hate Fore-ordained this massacre By the vicious will of fate.
2.
Another day comes, I wake in the sunlight The remnants of last night’s storm leaves the trees covered in dew Gazing up at the blue sky above, there’s not a cloud to be seen All of those around me are filled with content On that day a word of warning is brought Brought to us by a man who bore no name His words are dismissed, for the king is a fool I anticipate the day he parts this life Fear spreads throughout the city, panic strikes and the king is bewildered Storms are brewing, forewarning us of what is yet to come Rain begins falling from a blackened sky and the city’s people run for shelter The streets are empty and silent, for a few seconds now Beyond these castle walls, I can hear their screams in the distance Of those who dwell within darkness, no passion, no mercy for man As the wind whistles through the halls, we ready arms The gates are closed and the enemy halts A moment’s silence before the bloodshed begins Horns are blown, swords are drawn, the dark ones charge Looking down amongst the horde, I hold my blade up to the sky Arrows fill the air as the gates fall inwards Evil has crossed the threshold, I turn to face my foe Night time falls, a chill sweeps throughout the city Our king becomes one with death, a blessing to my eyes Many men have died on his command, and as he draws his last breath I cry: “Never give in my fellow warriors We will not die bereft of honour We are all great bearers of courage Now grip your swords and unleash the carnage within you” The battle nearing no end, as many men stand strong at hand By each other’s sides, we fought til dawn, never falling to defeat From this day forward, we are the rulers, the all supreme Conquerors of our demise, true claimants to the throne For I am a bearer of courage And I bow to no man
